Indian Princess Lake Cruise

Join us on The Indian Princess, a modern day replica of the grand riverboats that plied the Mississippi River in the later 19th century.  Cruising out of Webster, MA, she is one of the few authentic paddle wheel riverboats still in operation in the United States today.  In keeping with early traditions she was built with stern wheels that are her only means of propulsion.  The Indian Princess has a split stern wheel and each is run by a twin diesel engine that powers hydraulic motors which turn the paddles.  This is different than most Mississippi River paddle wheelers in operation today, that have a “freewheeling” paddle wheel at the stern of the boat for the visual effect, but have traditional screw type engines hidden for their real means of propulsion.
Lunch will be served after your cruise at Point Breeze restaurant.  We will be treated to a luncheon buffet consisting of salad, vegetables, rice pilaf, haddock, chicken marsala and apple crisp for dessert.  Point Breeze overlooks beautiful Lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg. (yes, this is the correct spelling!)
The cost of this trip is $70.00 P/P.  We will be picked up in Putnam and Hillcrest Villages at 8:30AM and anticipate returning around 3:30PM.  Friends and family are welcome on this trip.  Please be sure to call or stop in the office to sign up and pay no later than Saturday, August 12th.  Payment is due at the time you sign up. As always all sales are final.
